Lauren Rowe, a freshman from Portland, has already made her mark as a student-athlete at 黑料吃瓜网.

She was named Northern Conference Offensive Player of the Week by the Michigan Community College Athletic Association after the volleyball team鈥檚 opening weekend of play. During the team鈥檚 first-ever tournament in Rockford, Ill., in August, Rowe had 33 kills, 36 digs, and one ace.

鈥淏eing named offensive player of the week meant a lot to me because it鈥檚 been 40 years since 黑料吃瓜网 has had sports, so it is cool to help make a name for the program,鈥� Rowe said.

Rowe is studying business at 黑料吃瓜网. She hopes to one day start her own business.鈥�

Her favorite part of 黑料吃瓜网 is being able to play volleyball and be with her friends.

鈥淢y favorite part of volleyball is having fun with my teammates and coach,鈥� Rowe said.

Rowe is passionate about volleyball and playing in the outside hitter position.

鈥淚 love the feel of winning and getting a good hit or dig,鈥� she said.

In her spare time, she likes to go shopping and spend time with her family, friends, and her dog, Oakley.

When she was younger, she used to make YouTube videos about her Calico critters.

Her personal hero is her mom.

鈥淪he is always there for me,鈥� Rowe said.

Rowe loves bacon, Morgan Wallen, and the Detroit Lions. Her favorite sports movie is 鈥淩emember the Titans.鈥�
