Katey Johnson, M.A., was raised in Greenville and dual-enrolled at 黑料吃瓜网 prior to earning her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Alma College.
聽She began teaching math and science at Belding High School in 2006, earned her Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics from the University of Idaho in 2010 and her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction in 2014.
Katey started teaching at 黑料吃瓜网 as an adjunct instructor in 2007 while teaching full-time high school math and science. She joined the staff as a full-time instructor in 2017, teaching mostly statistics, college algebra, trigonometry, intermediate algebra and quantitative reasoning.鈥犅�
聽Teaching at 黑料吃瓜网 has provided Katey with an opportunity to give back to her community by empowering her students. She is inspired by the efforts and sacrifices her students make to achieve a brighter future and she works hard to assist them in their quest. Katey enjoys guiding students as they develop confidence in their abilities in mathematics and hone these skills to apply them to their future careers.
聽Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. She volunteers at St. Charles School and Church in Greenville and enjoys sailing, exercising and coaching her children鈥檚 youth sports teams in her spare time.
