Katey Johnson, M.A., was raised in Greenville and dual-enrolled at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø prior to earning her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Secondary Education from Alma College.
 She began teaching math and science at Belding High School in 2006, earned her Master of Arts in Teaching Mathematics from the University of Idaho in 2010 and her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction in 2014.
Katey started teaching at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø as an adjunct instructor in 2007 while teaching full-time high school math and science. She joined the staff as a full-time instructor in 2017, teaching mostly statistics, college algebra, trigonometry, intermediate algebra and quantitative reasoning.  Â
 Teaching at ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø has provided Katey with an opportunity to give back to her community by empowering her students. She is inspired by the efforts and sacrifices her students make to achieve a brighter future and she works hard to assist them in their quest. Katey enjoys guiding students as they develop confidence in their abilities in mathematics and hone these skills to apply them to their future careers.
 Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her family and being outdoors. She volunteers at St. Charles School and Church in Greenville and enjoys sailing, exercising and coaching her children’s youth sports teams in her spare time.
